Safety and Security Regulation
The legal framework underlying the CCAA's core functions
The 'Regeling nadere voorschriften toezicht luchtvaart" (P.B. 2015, no. 60), entered into force in October 2015. An amendment to this regulation was published and became effective in September 2024 via P.B. 2024, no. 92. The attachments to this regulation, the Curaçao Civil Aviation Regulations (CCARs), have been updated to implement the standards and recommended practices (SARPs) as outlined by ICAO in Annexes 1, 6, 7, and 8 of the Chicago Convention. The Regeling nadere voorschriften toezicht luchtvaart and its CCAR Parts are among the regulations that enable the CCAA to meet its regulatory safety oversight responsibilities.
