Legislation in Support of the Passenger Safety Oversight Charge 2025 (PSOC)
We hereby inform you that the Passenger Safety Oversight Charge (PSOC) for the year 2025 has been officially published by the Minister of Traffic, Transport, and Urban Planning as of October 31, 2024.
In accordance with the Ministerial Regulation with General Effect of October 30, 2024 (PB 2024, no. 123), pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 1, of the National Ordinance on Aviation Safety Oversight Charges (Ministerial Regulation on Aviation Safety Oversight Charges 2025), the following provisions are now in effect:
- All departing passengers, with the exception of those exempt under Article 4 of the National Ordinance on Aviation Safety Oversight Charges, will be required to pay a Passenger Safety Oversight Charge of US$ 0.51 per passenger.
- Passengers who purchased tickets before the publication date of this regulation and are scheduled to depart after January 1, 2025, will not be subject to the 2025 charge. For these passengers, the 2024 Passenger Safety Oversight Charge remains applicable.
- This regulation will take effect as of November 1, 2024, and will remain in force until January 1, 2026.
